My work is an invitation to confront truth and vulnerability. I investigate the complexities of motherhood, mental illness, and trauma—fleeting moments that capture dark memories of my mentally ill mother and tender moments with my daughter. I expose these memories with purpose and authenticity, unafraid to reveal their rawness. I believe that by sharing our stories, we can draw closer to one another.
I identify as a mixed media artist: charcoal, drawing, collage, assemblage, painting, and ink but I’m trained in traditional and digital 2D illustration methods.
I also have a great passion for sharing my love of visual arts through education. I currently teach at a pretty amazing high school, and am loving every minute. I graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2009 with a BFA in Illustration and my Masters in Education with a concentration in Visual Arts at Framingham State University in the spring of 2023.
