Ashley MacLure is a mixed media artist working in drawing, collage, and assemblage in the Worcester County area. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA, 2009), she began her career as a professional illustrator before transitioning to teaching in 2013. In 2023, she earned an M.Ed. in Visual Arts from Framingham State University, uniting her passions for art and education.

Her work is expressive and conceptually rich, often engaging with difficult and uncomfortable topics. She believes deeply in the power of stories, the necessity of vulnerability, and the ability of artists to change minds and hearts. Themes of mental health, trauma, and motherhood are central to her practice, and her work has been featured in both national and international publications.

Ashley embraces life as a teacher, mother, artist, friend, and partner, continually seeking to empower others to find their voices and share their own stories.
