We can't be afraid to share our stories. It's how we grow closer to one another. My work explores motherhood, mental illness, and trauma--each piece is a fluid moment in time: dark memories of my mentally ill mother; finger painting and hugs on the kitchen floor with my daughter; desperate prayers late at night. Without shame or fear, and with purpose, I lay it all out.

I identify as a mixed media artist: charcoal, drawing, collage, painting, ink in particular, but Iā€™m trained in traditional and digital 2D illustration methods.

I also have a great passion for sharing my love of visual arts through education. I currently teach at a pretty amazing high school, and am loving every minute. I graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2009 with a BFA in Illustration and from Framingham State University with a Post Baccalaureate in Visual Arts Education. I completed my Masters in Education with a concentration in Visual Arts at Framingham State University in the spring of 2023.
