Student Feedback…
“Ms. Mac was a huge support to me throughout my time in high school. She constantly encouraged me both in my art and in my daily struggles as a teenager. She nurtured my creativity and allowed a new outlet for me to pursue art in college. With her help I actually pulled through with a portfolio and applications, and as I am now about to graduate from Mass Art, i can’t say ho much I’ve appreciated her influence” - Kat Kloczkowski
“Ashley MacLure’s tutoring for art portfolios for admission to college helped me immensely. She gave us structure tha I did not have myself to get my portfolio done. If not for her tutoriing I may not have gotten into the three colleges I had applied to and I am forever grateful for that.” -Al Thomas
“With Ms. Mac’s guidance, I got accepted into 4/4 of the schools I applied to, including MassArt and RISD. I graduated MassArt with a BFA in Fashion Design in 2021. Ms. Mac knew exactly what they were looking for and made me feel confident submitting my portfolios. Shortly after graduating, I began a career in film/TV costuming. Through the union, I am paid fairly, get great benefits, and best of all I get to do what I love. I’m so grateful that I met Ms. Mac, and think of her often even all these years later.” - Corine Shannon
“I had the absolute pleasure of having Ms mac as an art teacher and mentor 10 years ago from 2012-2015 back when she was at blackstone valley tech. I was just a confused teenager who had my heart set on art school. Ms mac started an art club for kids like me who had no idea how to start a portfolio. She was truly more of a mentor than a teacher to me. I am currently living in New York as a fabric designer after going to art school in Boston and I can proudly say I would not be where I am today without her. We still catch up here and there and it’s clear that she drily cares about her students more than any mentor I’ve ever had. I even still listen to the songs she used to play for us in art club and think back to those days. Thank you Ms mac!!!” - Ella Tamagni
